Minimum Qualification Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in Civil Engineering.

Verification Requirement: You must submit evidence of your education within 7 days of filing this application. A reproduced copy of your diploma and/or transcript which shows the embossed seal must be submitted in order to be given credit. Copies will not be returned. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Three years of registered professional Civil Engineering experience, including or supplemented by one year in supervising or being responsible for an engineering operation or function.

License Requirement: Current State of Hawaii registration as a professional engineer in Civil Engineering. 1. Applicants with an out-of-state license in Civil Engineering must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
2. Valid Hawaii State driver's license (Type 3) prior to appointment.
