Position Description

This position is is responsible for event utility installations and dismantling.  Responsible for daily building maintenance and repairs.  This is a position of the Convention Center Authority; not a Metropolitan Government position.  Excellent benefits included. 

Typical Duties

Responsibilities include event utility installations and dismantling.  Responsible for daily building maintenance and repair including working knowledge of electrical and general facility maintenance. Strong diagnostic skills will be required to include blueprint reading and close attention to safety regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required with Vocational or Technical School preferred with one (1) to three (3) years of experience in general maintenance with specific knowledge in carpentry and painting required
  • Drywall and masonry skills preferred or any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to these requirements.
  • Valid Tennessee Driver's License required.
  • Flexible work schedules and will include weekend, night, and holiday work with the ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
