DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES:
HCA Program Supervisor II positions require four years of responsible professional, general administrative experience, general knowledge of the principles and practices of health care, health care systems and medical administration; experience or the ability to plan, organize, direct and coordinate a health service program. The ideal candidate will have significant professional experience and proven track record in supervising multidisciplinary staff and community Prevention program(s), experience working effectively with ethnic and underserved communities, advocates and health care professionals.


Knowledge of current state prevention reporting data systems a plus.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE POSITION INCLUDE:

  • Supervise multidisciplinary staff and assign and coordinate work

  • Create substance abuse education curriculum

  • Prepare comprehensive written and oral reports
  • Participate in community partnerships, coordinating and prevention events

THE PROGRAM/POSITION:
AMHS/Outpatient Clinics - position provides oversight to the office support in all the Adult Outpatient Mental Health clinics including ETS. The position ensures that all policies and procedures are consistent and implemented in relation to all front-end business operations. This includes IRIS reports and functionality, coordination with auditor controller.

Physical Characteristics: Vision sufficient to read standard text, read a computer monitor and to drive; speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably in person, over the telephone and in small groups; independent body mobility to stand, sit, walk, stoop, and bend to access a standard office environment; manual dexterity to use hands, arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and to write.

Environmental Conditions: Will be required to work in an office environment, on field assignments and occasionally drive to meetings and occasionally work evenings or weekends to attend meetings/special events.

SELECTION PROCEDURES
After screening, qualified candidates will be referred to the next step and notified of all further procedures applicable to their status in the competition. After all the test procedures have been completed, the Health Care Agency's Human Resources will establish an eligible list of qualified candidates.

The recruitment process will consist of the following steps. Each step will require a few weeks to complete.
  • Panel Interview (First Interview): (Weighted 100%) Candidates will be interviewed and rated by a panel of job knowledge experts. Each candidate's rating will be based on responses to a series of structured questions designed to elicit the candidate's qualifications for the job.
Based on the Department's needs, the selection procedures listed above may be modified. All candidates will be notified of any changes in the selections procedures.
