This recruitment will be used to fill current vacancies throughout the Courts, or future vacancies as they occur throughout the Court.

The Sonoma County Superior Court currently has volunteers and interns in various Court-wide divisions. Volunteers and Interns play an integral role within the Courts. The dedication of volunteers to assist with and perform various functions is relied upon, as volunteers assist with servicing the needs of the public and Court's staff in the performance of some job tasks.

Examples of duties

Typical duties of a volunteer/intern generally may include, but are not limited in:

  • Providing general office support
  • Doing reception-type work for the Family Law Facilitator's office
  • Performing a variety of clerical tasks
  • Filing documents in alphanumeric and chronological order
  • Providing general information to the public.

Typical Qualifications

No experience necessary. Must have a good attitude, be reliable, and have a desire to support the Sonoma County Superior Courts functions and services.

SELECTION PROCESS: Following an administrative review of each application, qualified candidates will be referred to requesting Court Divisions, and will be invited to an oral interview.

Volunteer/Intern placement is contingent upon passing fingerprinting for criminal convictions through the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).

Note: If you have an active criminal case in the Superior Court of California, you are not eligible to apply.
