Position Information

Assists in managing or directing a major organizational division of a City department; assists in carrying out the objectives and goals of the department through subordinate managers and supervisors; and performs other related duties as required.

This position assists the Program Administrator in the administration of the Capital Projects Division and oversees the Division's day-to-day operations.  The BWS capital improvement program includes the engineering, design, and construction of waterworks projects and the repair and replacement of existing structural facilities, pipelines, and equipment.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering or a related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four (4) years of registered professional engineering experience, two (2) of which shall have been on waterworks projects, including or supplemented by two (2) years of administrative engineering experience.

License Requirement:
1) Current registration as a Professional Engineer.
