Description of Duties/Essential Functions

Under immediate supervision, researches Explanation of Benefits (EOB) forms to ensure the necessary identifying information is completed in preparation for entry into the Third Party Liability (TPL) systems; performs specialized clerical review of incoming receipts to help determine the correct collection program to be updated with the recovery; posts recovery information into the TPL on-line systems; balances daily work folders; assists Account Clerk II with reconciliation of Bureau of Information Systems (BIS) and the Bureau of Fiscal Operations (BFO) deposit reports.

Minimum Requirements

Requires knowledge, skill and mental develoment equivalent to completion of four years of high school;requires elementary knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices; requires elementary knowledge of office methods and procedures; requires the ability to apply bookkeeping principles; requires the ability to make rapid and accurate arithmetic calculations either manually or by machine.
