Primary Responsibility

The Support Aide/Greeter position is an entry-level classification in the Support series. The successful candidate will perform a variety of routine office and general support duties while multi-tasking, giving attention to detail, and working in a team environment to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.

Examples of Important and Essential Duties

1.Works in a busy front desk environment while multi-tasking and giving a tremendous amount of attention to detail.
2.Greets and assists the public in person providing excellent customer service with a high degree of professionalism as they arrive in the Human Services (HSB and ASC) offices by answering questions, providing information, receiving documents, checking for completion, and referring individuals to the appropriate staff or department.
3.Assists consumers in utilizing CO PEAK, an online eligibility and application tool.
4.Serves as an information resource for the public and remains up-to-date on agency and outside agency resources so that appropriate referrals are made.
5.Rotates as a lobby Greeter to assist in creating a comfortable environment for the public as they enter and wait for staff assistance.
6.Assist customers to ensure all resource information and applications required in the lobby are easily available and fully stocked.
7.Assists the public with reviewing and organizing necessary documents when requested.
8.When communicating with others, utilizes active listening skills, asks appropriate questions, and seeks clarification when uncertain.
9.Extended periods of walking, standing, sitting and assisting with small children is required throughout the designated shift.
10.Tracks and compiles data as relates to the public entering each office.
11.Operates office equipment such as computer, photocopier, and other related equipment. This position will be trained on a variety of highly confidential computer systems.
12.Performs other related work as required.

Requirements

Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
Experience: One year of customer service and general support experience.
Job offer is contingent on passing a criminal background check.
