Description

This is a continuous posting: The first review of applications will be June 11, 2018 and every two weeks after until the positions are filled.

The purpose of this position is to provide a variety of operations, maintenance and repair duties, on Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS), traffic signal and street light equipment. This is accomplished by performing skilled technical work of high difficulty in the installation, maintenance, operation and repair of traffic signal equipment and traffic lights. This position requires a rotation schedule for Standby and On-Call After-Hours support, which includes evenings, holidays, and weekends. Other duties may include completing related tasks as assigned.

Supplemental Information

This position operates on a 4/10 schedule with occasional call back and a requirement for rotational 24 hour stand by.

Paid Holiday (10 days per year or according to specific MOU )


Paid Vacation (96 to 120 hours accrued per year for 0 - 4.99 yrs of service, progressive to 176 hours depending on years of continued employment and position) Pro-rated for part-time employees depending on hours worked per week.

Paid Vacation (Lateral Police Officers/Sergeants) Laterally hired employees, who are fully qualified will be hired in at the accrual rate that is commensurate with the years of creditable service they bring with them, not to exceed that which is equal to the beginning of the 10th year.

Paid Sick leave (96 hours per year)
Pro-rated for part-time employees depending on hours worked per week.


Personal Leave - Non-Exempt Full-Time benefited are granted 16 hours (pro-rated for Part-Time benefited) in accordance with the Personnel Administrative Regulations. Exempt Full-Time benefited are granted 56 hours annually in accordance with the Personnel Administrative Regulations. This leave is pro-rated when hired after January 1st.
