Job Responsibilities

The Department of Mental Health is a drug-free workplace. All candidates will be required to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test.
 
This position is located within the Division of Inpatient Services' Forensics Evaluation Services Address: 7901 Farrow Road, Columbia, SC 29203

Conducts forensic psychological evaluations and generate written reports on adult and adolescent inpatients and outpatients who are involved in the adjudication process or committed to the DMH forensic hospital.  Perform court-related duties, including acting as an expert witness in criminal and civil courts. Perform SVP evaluations, as directed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Requirement:  A doctorate in applied psychology from an accredited college or university and experience in the practice of applied psychology.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualification: Employee must be licensed or license-eligible as a clinical psychologist in South Carolina.
