The City of Happy Valley has a unique opportunity for a detail oriented and computer savvy individual, to fill a temporary position as a Records Management Specialist. This position will contribute to the City’s on-going efforts to move documents to an electronic platform (Laserfiche). Essentially, we are looking for someone who has an interest in going through all our historical records and moving them into the digital age. The process of scanning and indexing documents requires attention to detail, organization, and familiarity with personal computers and general office equipment. A successful candidate will also be a good listener and show the ability to communicate clearly with others.  

As a Records Management Specialist you will scan and transfer records into the electronic records management system, Laserfiche. Once you have received training and gained competency in the process, you will work independently with support and oversight from the City Recorder and other City staff.

This in a temporary position for a duration of 3-6 months, working between 20-24 hours per week. This opportunity has flexibility in the scheduled days and hours. You will be provided sick leave for hours worked under the Oregon Sick Leave law. You will work out of the Happy Valley City Hall building located just off 162nd and Sunnyside Road. This location offers ample free parking and is conveniently within walking distance to Happy Valley business center.
