Braemar Arena - Concessions II

This position is responsible for waiting on customers who use the concession stand and providing excellent customer service to patrons at the facility.  This individual must have excellent customer service skills, including professional appearance, be able to effectively meet and deal with the public, must be able to make quick and accurate arithmetic computations, have good communication skills.  Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, able to handle multiple orders and duties at one time and stay even tempered.  This position requires stocking, lifting up to 50 pounds, substantial standing for long periods of time and walking. 

• Greets the public and answers questions; responds to inquiries from employees, customers and others and refers, when necessary, to appropriate staff.

• Sells concessions, including soft drinks and food items to customers.  Able to fill orders in a timely fashion and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

• Maintain a well-stocked, organized work space.  Maintains a clean facility throughout scheduled shift.

• Performs opening and closing duties as requested.  Manage other part-time concession staff while on duty.

• Responsible for cash register operations, with the ability to accurately make change.

• Arrives to work on time and when scheduled.  Arranges for a substitute if necessary.

• Provides good customer service by being friendly, tactful, courteous, and by maintaining an alert and professional posture at all times.  Maintains an acceptable appearance as to both dress and personal hygiene.

• Must be in Braemar Arena uniform while interacting with customers.

• Completes any necessary paperwork such as inventory sheets, cleaning check-list, and spoilage report.

• Operation of food preparation and warming equipment.

• Maintains food safety standards while handling any and all food.

• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.

•  Understanding of Food Safe operations and food handling techniques.  Ability to give direction and advise others.
•  Excellent communication skills.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Be able to multi-task in a fast pace environment.
• Have good math skills.
• Self-motivated.

This position will work approximately 8 - 16 hours per week.  Shifts will be every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or Sundays from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with occasional hours during the week.
