Job Responsibilities

Under limited supervision, manage the day-to-day operations of Adult Care Services and the Young Adults in Transition Program, requiring monthly reports for emergency department visits of clients and female clients referred by OB/GYN.  Though this position is part of the senior management, it is supervised by the Child, Adolescent and Family Services Director and will have commitments and responsibilities to that department as well.  The Coordinator will be required to maintain a clinical caseload and participate in treatment teams, consultation and monthly supervision meetings with subordinate staff.  The coordinator is responsible for 10 subordinate staff.  There are also a number of other meetings and committees this position will require participation. 

DMH is a drug-free workplace.   All candidates will be required to pass a mandatory Pre-employment drug test.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

Preferred Qualifications

A doctorate degree in the social sciences and one year of post graduate experience in a community mental health program OR a master's degree in the social sciences and four years of post graduate experience.
