Job Responsibilities

The Department of Mental Health is a drug-free workplace.  All candidates will be required to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test.
 
This position is located with the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, Beckman Center for Mental Health Services.  This posting is for a school-based position in Abbeville County.  The position will serve Long Cane Primary and Westwood Elementary schools. 
 
Under general supervision, provides treatment services to children, adolescents and their families.  Mental health services will be provided in a culturally competent manner, which will include but not be limited to, assessment, crisis management, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
 

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Requirements:  A bachelor's degree and professional experience in human services or social services programs.
Agency Requirements:  A master's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences and one year's experience is required to be considered for this position.
