About the Position

The ctcLink Training Specialist will be responsible for training staff and assisting in developing PeopleSoft Finance (FIN) related training and knowledge transfer materials.

You will have a high level of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Finance Pillar (at least one of the following areas) -- general ledger, accounts receivable, billing, budgeting, expenses, cash management, grants/projects/contracts, or purchasing
  • facilitation and partnership
  • integrating educational technology
  • general knowledge of the Student Financials module is a plus

Qualifications
  • two years working experience in PeopleSoft ERP
  • bachelor's or advanced degree in instruction or training, or equivalent combination of related experience and/or education
  • three years of related professional experience in the Finance (FIN) Pillar
  • knowledge or experience working in a higher education environment

Principal Activities
  • Working with the Training Team and Training Manager to follow and execute the training plan for the ctcLink environment.
  • Delivering classroom and/or virtual instructor-led training to end-users, as well as participating in other training activities as directed by the needs of the project.
  • Interacting with the Training Team, Innovation Team, Project Functional staff, ERP support staff, and other subject matter experts to define and review learning outcomes, course outlines, assessments and materials.
  • Communicating decisions, risks, barriers, and training material changes to training team, ERP support staff, project staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintaining the overall quality and effectiveness of the training program and working with other team members in the development of program evaluations.
  • Partnering with other trainers, Project Functional Analysts and ERP support staff to ensure knowledge transfer and cross training.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of training materials and end-user documentation following prescribed templates and standards.
  • Coaching, mentoring and motivating regional training participants in the delivery of project standards and deliverables during train-the-trainer activities in accordance with training plan.

The following information describes typical benefits available for full-time employees who are expected to work more than six months. Actual benefits may vary by appointment type or be prorated for other than full-time work. Insurance Benefits

Retirement and Deferred Compensation
 
State Employees are members of the Washington Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS).  New employees have the option of two employer contributed retirement programs.  For additional information, check out the Department of Retirement Systems' web site.
 
Employees also have the ability to participate in the Deferred Compensation Program (DCP).  This is a supplemental retirement savings program (similar to an IRA) that allows you control over the amount of pre-tax salary dollars you defer as well as the flexibility to choose between multiple investment options.
 
Vacation (Annual Leave)
 
You begin accruing vacation starting your first month of employment. Since we value your loyalty, the amount of vacation you can accrue increases the longer you work with us. Washington State supports members of the armed forces with 21 days paid military leave per year. Vacation accrues for full-time employees per WAC 357-31-165.

Full-time employees earn eight hours of sick leave per month. Paid sick leave may be used for reasons included in WAC 357-31-130.
