Duties: 
Responsible to write/develop policies, procedures, and goals for the social work programs and provides oversight to ensuring compliance. Responsibility for directing and supervising all licensed social workers and students. Attends and participates in administrative staff meetings/conferences. Pre-employment drug screening is required. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth by agency and bureau policies. This is a tobacco free facility. Applicant must successfully complete a background check. Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1)  Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university AND 4 years of full-time or equivalent part-time social services experience.

OR

2)
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Behavioral Science, Interpersonal Communications, Human Services, or Education from an accredited college or university AND one year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a social worker AND four years of full-time or equivalent part-time social services experience.

OR

3)  Current West Virginia Social Work License AND 4 years of full-time or equivalent part-time social services experience.

Special Requirements:  Of the required years of social services experience two years must have been in a psychiatric setting utilizing the coordinated services of a psychologist, psychiatrist, and a psychiatric social worker and one year must have also included full-time supervision of workers and/or students in social work.

Must also be eligible for a Temporary Social Work License OR be licensed as a Social Worker, Graduate Social Worker, or Certified Social Worker by the West Virginia Board of Social Work Examiners.
