Position Summary

Do you love the City of Brooklyn Park and are looking for a flexible job that works around your schedule? 

The Community Activity Center (CAC) opens bright and early in the morning until midnight, 7-days a week.  Work anywhere from 15-19 hours a week in a dynamic recreation center equipped with multiple skating rinks and racquetball courts and assist with daily operations, building maintenance and grounds/flower upkeep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate ice re-surfacing machine
  • Sharpen skates for customers
  • Perform general cleaning as well as general maintenance of facility and grounds maintenance
  • Set-up and tear-down of rooms for facility events and activities
  • Prepare racquetball courts for use
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations that ensures the facility operates in a safe manner

Minimum and Desired Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a physical and drug test
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Additional Information

ANTICIPATED WORK SCHEDULE:  This is a non-benefited part-time position that will work up to 20 hours per week; hours are flexible and may include weekend and evening shifts. 

ANTICIPATE HIRING WAGE:  $11.19 per hour, depending on qualifications

PAY GRADE
Maintenance IV (604) - $11.19-12.03
Maintenance V (605) - $12.03-$15.24

Regular, full-time City of Brooklyn Park employees (30 or more hours per week) are eligible for a benefits package including:
