ABOUT YOU

The Marin County Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a self-motivated person with proven collaborative leadership skills to provide the overall coordination and planning of the county-wide Emergency Medical Services System. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in Emergency Medical Services systems administration and excels at communication, analysis, and at remaining calm and positive under pressure.

QUALIFYING EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows:

Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge and abilities listed, typically a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in health administration, public administration, health education, nursing, fire or police science, or closely related field, AND the equivalent of three years of experience in an emergency medical services program, which must have included one year of experience in administration of a local EMS Agency or management of EMS provider services. The required experience must have included some experience in a lead or supervisory role.

Additional experience as outlined above may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years.
