Purpose of Position:
Compliance officers oversee the operations of a Federally funded USDA nutrition program to ensure that facilities receiving Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP) payments are providing nutritious meals within their programs located state-wide. They also oversee the organizations to ensure that the organizations are receiving the proper amount of reimbursement for their costs incurred in the operation of the food service and spending the funding appropriately. Compliance officers review and monitor the application process and the program operations, instruct, train, approve, evaluate and assist organizations in their operations of their program. They also provide technical assistance to the organizations and recommendations and feedback to the Bureau and USDA on the levels of compliance observed and measured. This position will not only be responsible for knowing the Child and Adult Food Program, but will also be responsible for knowing and assisting with the Summer Food Program as needed.

Classification Description

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in investigations, regulation, policy, statutory, and/or contract compliance.
 
Employment Requirements:
Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a current and valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive phone and personal computer usage. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.
