Job Description

The purpose of this position is to implement and supervise aquatic programs and staff. This is accomplished by overseeing the development, coordination, and implementation of recreation activities, supervising subordinate staff, preparing and reviewing the division budget, and marketing recreation programs and events. Other duties include assisting with special events.

 

Examples of Duties

Maintains daily pool operations by coordinating and overseeing maintenance and personnel, aquatic programming and pool facility maintenance while ensuring public and facility safety.

Supervises aquatics personnel by coordinating and providing training, delegating and monitoring work assignments, and ensuring adequate coverage for aquatic programs and cashiers.

Administers the budget by forecasting revenues and expenditures, authorizing payments, monitoring expenditures, and responding to requests for information.

Performs other duties as assigned, including assisting with special events.

Minimum Qualifications

At least two years related work and supervisory experience; related Bachelor's degree.

Certified Pool Operator; Aquatic Facility Operator; Certified Lifeguard Instructor; Water Safety Instructor; CPR and AED Certified; Valid Class C Driver's License.
