Purpose of Position:
The purpose of the position is to provide a person-centered or directed, to be interactive, in the decision-support process whereby consumers are supported in their deliberations to make informed long-term support choices in the context of their own preferences, strengths and values. The Options Counselor assists people in understanding their health care options.

This position is a Pay Band 60.

Social & Community Service Coordinator-Basic

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology and/or Family Studies/Services. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Working Conditions: 
General office conditions. Physical effort would include arranging furniture for training sessions. Lifting boxes (not exceeding 20 pounds) of information/education materials. Computer use is required. Limited travel and driving required. High volume of phone calls dealing with stressful situations.
