DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Driver License Examiner Assistants administer the testing processes of Pennsylvania's commercial or non-commercial licensing program.  Work involves proctoring standardized driver knowledge tests, performing visual acuity screenings, verifying identity and related documents, and processing driver license applications and test results. There is a high degree of customer inquiries and interaction handled in person, by telephone and/or by email.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

  • Must meet PA residency requirement
  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements 
  • Must pass the test to meet the Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions

EXAMINATION INFORMATION

The 2 hour written exam measures the following subject matter areas:

Basic Arithmetic - 10                     
Public Relations/Basic Customer Service Concepts - 30
Proofreading - 15                         
Total Questions - 75         

  • May retest 6 months after date of last exam
