Position Information

Performs post-mortem examinations and medicolegal investigations of death including generation of autopsy reports and findings; testifies as an expert medical witness in court; directs, coordinates and supervises the technical and day-to-day operational activities of the Department of the Medical Examiner; and performs other related duties as required.

Vacancy with the Department of the Medical Examiner.  Rotational on-call on weekends and holidays.  Exposure to x-ray radiation, communicable diseases and occasionally toxic substances.  List may be used to fill future vacancies in this department.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Graduation from an accredited school of medicine with a degree of Doctor of Medicine, and completion of approved residency training at a recognized institution, and successful completion of a Fellowship in Forensic Pathology.
