Job Responsibilities

The Department of Mental Health is a drug-free workplace.  All candidates will be required to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test. 
                                                                                  
This position is worked within the Division of Inpatient Services.

To apply knowledge in performing under limited supervision, paraprofessional duties and to assist the professional staff of the pharmacy department of the Division of Inpatient Services (DIS) in completing, under limited supervision, complex, highly skilled duties involved in the practice of pharmacy.  To demonstrate an understanding, compassion and sensitivity to the pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric and psychiatric populations the DIS serves.

 
**This position pays $12.00 an hour.**

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Requirement: A high school diploma and experience or training within the specific work area.

Agency Preferred: A high school graduate or the equivalent, experience in the care, storage, and preparation of medications for dispensing and/ or training in a pharmacy technician program or pharmacy school. Valid current registration with SC LLR Board of Pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern. 

Note: If any Agency Requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position. Salary may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
