The County is looking for motivated Programmer Analysts to design and develop advanced enterprise systems using the latest technology available. Programmer Analysts III are experts in systems analysis, automated systems design, database design, and applications programming, and are the primary resource for evaluating and applying new technological developments to assigned projects. The list established from this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
 
Availability:  Incumbents may occasionally work evening and weekend hours.  Some overtime, on-call, or call back work may be required.

Minimum Requirements

Education:  Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college level courses in programming, computer science, or software engineering.  A list of coursework must be submitted with the application.

Experience:  Four (4) years of work experience in a production environment, within the past five (5) years, performing systems analysis and project planning for the purpose of developing business applications.  Must include one (1) year working as a project leader for large-scale projects.  Experience must include the use of a systems development methodology.
 
Applicant must have experience in all of the following:
  • VB.Net or C#
  • SSRS
  • CSS
  • SQL Server or DB2
 
Note: A bachelor's degree in programming, computer science or software engineering may substitute for one (1) year of the non-lead experience.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong understanding of all aspects of enterprise software development; intergrated Windows, Web, database, and reporting skills.
  • Experience with .Net Web services, HTML5, CSS3, XML, AJAX, REST, and JSON.
  • Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle changes in business requirements and set priorities across multiple projects.
  • Good communication skills, ability to manage project tasks independently and communicate with clients.
  • Ability to formulate advanced SQL Queries.
