Class Summary

Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.

The Solid Waste Management team is responsible for implementing the County's solid waste and recycling program. The program includes contract management, call center and payment window operations, and marketing and outreach functions.

The incumbent oversees the daily activities and operations of the Solid Waste Management section of the Fiscal and Solid Waste Management Division including the customer service call center and payment operations, financial operations, and marketing/outreach functions.

The Grade for this position is 105.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration or a closely related field;
  • Five years of progressively responsible professional level experience;
  • Two years of supervisory experience;
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Municipal Solid Waste Management or closely related experience preferred;
  • Financial experience preferred;
  • Valid driver's license.
