Job Responsibilities

 
  • This position will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring a year-round horticulture program for the institution.
  • Responsible for grounds maintenance including planting beds.
  • Management of a greenhouse.
  • Supervises inmate work details.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State of South Carolina minimum requirements:
A high school diploma and custodial, grounds keeping or maintenance experience directly related to the area of employment.

SCDC minimum requirements:
Minimum five (5) years horticulture and grounds maintenance experience. 
A South Carolina pesticide applicator's license is required.
Candidates must be submit a resume  to be considered for the position.
 

Additional Comments

Must attend SCDC Basic Training.
