Purpose of Position:
This position will assist patients with discharge planning needs and provide clinical information to insurance carriers. The incumbent will provide utilization review concurrently with admissions to assure proper assignment of level of care and appropriate case management.

This position is a Pay Band 80.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates Degree in Nursing or graduation from a NLN accredited program accepted by the New Mexico Board of Nursing and three (3) years paid experience as a Registered Nurse.
 
Employment Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a current license to practice as Registered Nurse in New Mexico or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements. Employment is subject to pre-employment criminal background check and is conditional pending results.
 
Statutory Requirements:
All applicants for this position must be licensed in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act § 61-3-2 through 61-3-31 NMSA 1978 and 16.12.1 through 16.12.20 NMAC, as applicable.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office setting, extensive computer and phone usage. Extended periods of sitting, standing and bending, must be able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds. May be required to work weekends and/or holidays.
