Opening Shift (5:15 am to 10:00 am); Mid Day Shift (10:00 am to 3:00 pm); Closing Shift (4:00 pm to 8:00 pm); Varies - May require opening, closing and weekend shifts.

Overall Job Objective

Provide front-line customer service to all visitors at outdoor pools.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs cash handling duties, including following established procedures to assess charges, evaluate passes and/or permits, and collecting monies.
  • Performs customer service role which may include interacting with parents, participants, business or program partners, and/or city staff to provide information and solve problems.
  • Works as part of a team, attending training, orientation and/or staff meetings as needed.
  • Performs duties specific to facility as needed.
  • Assists other facility staff when needed, including in emergency situations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum age: 16 years old.
  • Accurate math skills.
  • Integrity/ethical behavior.
  • Interest, desire, and ability to provide excellent customer service in person and on the telephone.
  • Tactful and effective communication skills.
  • Have and maintain acceptable background information, including criminal conviction history.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS - in addition to the required minimum qualifications:
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Current Red Cross or equivalent CPR/AED certification.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
