Position Overview
The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) invites qualified individuals to apply for the ctcLink CEMLI (Configuration, Extension, Modification, Localization, and Integration) Developer position.

The CEMLI Developer will assist with the implementation and integration of ctcLink applications (Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Financials and Human Capital Management suites) to optimize college business processes. This position will provide functional consulting services by acting as subject matter expert and assisting staff and colleges through the entire system development life cycle.

About the Department
The Application Services Department of SBCTC's Information Technology Division is responsible for the delivery of enterprise applications and related support services for SBCTC and Washington State's community and technical colleges. 

About ctcLink
The SBCTC Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a a multi-phase, multi-year project called ctcLink. It will replace the full administrative software suite for our 34 community and technical colleges, as well as the SBCTC. The project is estimated to end in 2022.

Responsibilities

  •  Supports end-users with functional application and business expertise; coaches and mentors end-users on best practices and business processes.
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots issues, implements solutions, writes knowledge-base articles.
  • Provides functional and user focus to augment the technical focus on system upgrades.
  • Implements new functionality or enhancements for legally mandated changes and new interfaces.
  • Acts as project functional lead to guide others in testing and implementing new system functionality or enhancements.
  • Serves as a liaison to ERP technical support.
  • Creates and maintains application support documentation including functional, technical and business requirements, configuration guides, business process workflows and training materials.
  • Assists with evaluation, testing and deployment of PeopleSoft application releases and patches, including updating related documentation and training materials.
  • Provides recommendations for business process and system functionality enhancements.
  • Facilitates and configures recommendations for business process and system functionality enhancements.
  • Supports high-quality end-user customer service and consistency between ERP implementation and SBCTC policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advance degree in Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent combination of related experience and/or education.
  • 6 or more years of work experience with large PeopleSoft enterprise Campus Solutions, Financials, and/or Human Capital Management systems 9.0 or above.
  • Experience with 2 or more of the following technologies: Application Designer, PeopleCode, PeopleTools 8.4 or above, Component Interface, Application Engine, SQL and SQR.
  • Experience implementing PeopleSoft in a higher education environment.
  • Upgrade and implementation experience in higher education.

Insurance Benefits

Retirement and Deferred Compensation
 
State Employees are members of the Washington Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS).  New employees have the option of two employer contributed retirement programs.  For additional information, check out the Department of Retirement Systems' web site.
 
Employees also have the ability to participate in the Deferred Compensation Program (DCP).  This is a supplemental retirement savings program (similar to an IRA) that allows you control over the amount of pre-tax salary dollars you defer as well as the flexibility to choose between multiple investment options.
 
Vacation (Annual Leave)
 
You begin accruing vacation starting your first month of employment. Since we value your loyalty, the amount of vacation you can accrue increases the longer you work with us. Washington State supports members of the armed forces with 21 days paid military leave per year. Vacation accrues for full-time employees per WAC 357-31-165.
