Description of Duties/Essential Functions

Under immediate supervision, for a period of time not to exceed twelve months, participates in an IDES sponsored training program to develop knowledge, skill and expertise in the auditing of employer accounts; receives training and guidance in the review and analysis of employer accounts; receives and completes assignments of limited scope; provides procedural advice on the requirements and provision of the Illinois Unemployment Insurance (UI) Act, for an assigned geographical area.
 

Minimum Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or an allied field. (Qualifying state employees in the Upward Mobility Program may complete combinations of specific proficiency test and training programs leading to a certificate of proficiency in lieu of the educational requirements.)  Requires the ability to prepare comprehensive written and oral reports; understand and follow oral and written instructions; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel.
