MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Possession of a current Louisiana Physical Therapist license or temporary permit.

Differs from the Physical Therapist Assistant by the responsibility for interpreting test results and formulating treatment plans.

Differs from the Physical Therapist 2 by the absence of greater program responsibilities and/or supervision of subordinates.

Treats clients/patients including evaluation, development and implementation of treatment plans and goals.

Contributes to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.

Participates and contributes to departmental in-service program.

Supervises and assigns work to subordinates in accordance with treatment plans and scheduling.

Participates in appropriate client/patient clinics and hospital rounds.

Contributes to the planning and assists in the implementation of special services.

Maintains equipment and assists in management of supplies.

Documents client/patient reactions to therapy and assesses their progress.
