Position Summary

Position is responsible for supporting Enterprise agencies with grant research, grant writing, financial oversight, financial and progress reporting, and various Grants Module functions. Establishes and maintains strong relationship with both internal and external departments/agencies, federal government offices, and non-profit agencies

Position Responsibilities

Updates and maintains various grant log-ins for department and agencies within Enterprise

Maintains working knowledge of federal regulations governing grants and A-133 audit requirements

Compiles information and completes progress reports

Monitors cash balances for grants and coordinates with agencies to resolve balances

Directs proposal development activities for grant developers to discuss program plans and leads development strategies for grant funds

Develops, updates, and maintains grant development calendar, grant opportunities database, and grant proposals

Sets project goals, objectives, timelines, budgets, and sustainability for proposals

Researches grant opportunities, evidence-based practices related to grant proposal subject area, and coordinates grant applications with City/County agencies to create competitive and formula-driven grant proposal narratives

Develops and maintains various forms, templates, and processes to facilitate grant proposal process between OFM and agencies

Assists with development and delivery of all grant related training (grant module, grant management, etc)

Creates, maintains and updates training materials and presentations for grant training

Troubleshoots and resolves grants module issues for agencies specific to grant budgets, billing, and proposals

Reviews and approves grant projects and grant budgets in grant module

Oversees sub-recipient monitoring process and completion of FFATA requirements

Oversees and assists with grant closeout process for the grant module

Develops and fosters working relationships with community organizations/partners to facilitate collaboration on grant funded projects

Collaborates with Grants Administrator on large-scale proposals requiring special attention

Assigned special projects and initiatives as determined by the Grants Administrator

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field required. Preference will be given to individuals with grant writing and/or grant management experience. Knowledge of the budgetary process, City/County accounting principles and procedures, and City/County rules and regulations. Knowledge of City/County government structure, administrative procedures, federal grant regulations, and the grant award process. Analytical and quantitative skills including knowledge of finance, accounting, statistics, and economics. Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for a wide variety of audience contacts. Ability to conduct research independently and effectively communicate information and findings to various levels of management both verbally and in writing. Confidence and capability to learn on the job and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Independent judgment is utilized when there are no available policies and procedures. Errors in judgment may cause inconsistencies and inconveniences.

All rates are bi-weekly.
