Essential Functions

Assesses and treats patients using applicable medical instruments and equipment; evaluates and counsels patients and obtains medical history; makes outside referrals as appropriate; provides input in establishing short and long term goals needed to implement policies, procedures, and programs to effectively address the medical needs of students; provides acute and chronic medical care to students by appointment and walk-in basis; promotes and provides input into the efforts to enhance funding for the Student Health Center, including billing third parties; promotes and provides input into the effort to obtain Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) accreditation for the Student Health Center; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required; related duties as required.
 

Minimum Requirements

Graduation from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree, licensure with the state of Alabama as a MD or DO, board certification eligible in primary care, family practice or internal medicine specialty, and DEA registration.

Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
