Purpose of Position:
This position will manage, analyze and evaluate complex social services to ensure quality outcomes by statewide community-based contract agencies. It will participate in strategic planning, development and implementation of a statewide system of care of Children, Youths and Families Department (CYFD) involving organizational structural design, methods and procedures development, workflow/work distribution, manpower management, reports, records management and contract management. This position will also provide technical assistance and represent the department as a consultant to community based agencies.

 
This position is a Pay Band 70.
 

Classification Description

Education Administrator Operational

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Administration or Business Administration and four (4) years of experience as a teacher and/or program administrator. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
 
Employment Requirements:
Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a current and valid Driver's License.
 
Statutory Requirements: 
Applicable New Mexico Teaching Certificate may be required. Issued by NMPED or a current teaching license from another State in accordance with 22-10A-3.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office setting: late hours, weekends, and on-call work may be required. Will be exposed to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and stressful situations. Travel is required. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints.
