INTERNSHIP FOR STUDENTS WORKING TOWARD BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING, FINANCE OR OTHER RELATED DISCIPLINES
 
We are looking for qualified candidates to join our Finance team. This is a great experience where students will get hands-on training in a wide array of finance/accounting responsibilities including but not limited to: Accounts Payable, Payroll, Fiscal year-end Closing, Data Management, and SharePoint Design and Maintenance.

Placement location: Central Justice Center, 700 W. Civic Center Drive, Santa Ana.

Example of Duties

As an intern, you will assist with day-to-day finance/accounting functions. You will have the opportunity to assist Accounts Payable with daily processes; learn and assist with payroll practices and procedures; assist with year-end closing; assist with data clean-up and standardization; design and maintain the SharePoint site; complete projects assigned by the finance/accounting units.

This is a part-time, unpaid internship. The scheduled hours for each selected intern may vary based on assignment.

An intern should be detailed-oriented, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have intermediate/advanced MS Excel knowledge and experience. As well the ability to effectively meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Minimum Qualifications

•Currently working toward Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related disciplines

•Provide copy of most recent transcripts (unofficial copy acceptable)

Guidelines and Provision: If accepted into the Finance/Accounting Internship Program as an intern, I understand I am not an employee of the Court; I understand that I am not covered by the Court's Memorandum of Understanding. I understand that State law requires that I must possess valid automobile/liability insurance and agree to have such coverage if I am involved in using my own vehicle for Court business. It is also my understanding that a criminal record check is conducted on all interns/externs, and the results of such check is used for the sole purpose of evaluating the suitability to access Court files, confidential information.

I understand that the Court and its officers, employees and agents shall not be held liable for any death, injury or property damage claims arising from intern work. I also understand that if any claim arises out of the foregoing, the intern shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Orange County Superior Court and its judges, commissioners, employees and agents from the same.
