Position Summary

Several elementary schools and middle schools in the Moses Lake and Soap Lake School Districts have openings for tutors.  Students must be reliable and dress appropriately; no bus, office, conference or lunch duties included.

Positions are available at:

  • Lakeview Elementary-Moses Lake
  • Larson Elementary-Moses Lake (CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE)
  • Longview Elementary-Moses Lake
  • Midway Learning Center-Moses Lake
  • North Elementary-Moses Lake
  • Peninsula Elementary-Moses Lake
  • Sage Point Elementary-Moses Lake
  • Soap Lake Elementary-Soap Lake
  • Wahitis Elementary-Othello
  • Endeavor Middle School-Moses Lake

This position is eligible for Federal Work-Study, only.
 
Students must be available to work up to 16 hours per week.  The total amount of hours will vary per quarter.   

Essential Job Duties

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide tutoring to students in areas of Math, Reading, or other subjects.  
  • Work closely with the teacher regarding schedule and duties.

Minimum & Desirable Qualifications

Interested students must be enrolled at BBCC for more than 5 credits and have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Students must be able to pass a Washington State Background Check and any other requirements of the school district the student will be working at.  

Students must have the ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
