The City of Boulder is seeking a Sports Facility Supervisor at the Pleasant View Athletic complex to supervise the facility and athletic programming.  If being around soccer and other sports interests you, please fill out an application today!


 

Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of this position is to supervise athletic facilities/ programs at the Pleasantview Soccer complex.

•Supervises participants/ facility during games/ tournaments
•Responsible for assisting and supporting the Recreation Coordinator in day to day operations, reporting results, disciplinary actions, etc
•Maintains a safe and secure environment for all participants
•Uses appropriate disciplinary techniques with participants and logs all incidents
•Accurately collects/ files team rosters and other administrative forms.
•Compiles/ organizes game results
•Effectively interacts and communicates with officials, participants and other employees
•Accounts for and maintains all supplies and equipment
•Must be able to remain composed in emergency situations and make sound judgment decisions during emergency and non-emergency situations
•Reports directly to Recreation Coordinator
•Serves as a resource to participants, maintain a professional manner while on duty, and mediate disputes calmly and professionally
•Open and close facility, maintain safety conditions and enforce all city of Boulder rules, regulations and policies

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Must be able to provide excellent guest service to participants
•Ability to communicate effectively when enforcing policies, rules and regulations
•Ability to work under pressure
•Promptness
•Ability to work independently
•Ability to speak/write/understand English
•Clean and neat appearance
•Effective leadership skills
•Must be 18 years of age or older
•Must have a experience working in customer service


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Knowledge of FIFA soccer rules
•Previous soccer playing/ officiating experience.
•CPR/ AED, first aid certification
•Previous supervisory experience
•Ability to speak Spanish
 

Supplemental Information

This role is a variable hour position. Hours will vary depending on needs.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENT
•Must have sufficient strength, agility, stamina, and flexibility to lift, carry or move a variety of objects up to 50 lbs
•Must have sufficient hearing to be able to hear and discriminate differing sounds in a variety of situations
•Sufficient vision to be able to discriminate between colors, size, and type of objects and people, both close and distant
