Coconino County Education Service Agency (CCESA) is seeking qualified service providers to be temporary on-call employees with the CCESA to provide county schools with school psychology services.

Note: Services are to be provided within the geographical area of Coconino County.

Typical Duties

Function as a school psychologist to administer extensive psycho-educational evaluations for all students referred for such evaluations and to compile data into complete psycho-educational reports with timely submission to the school district;
Participation in conferences with school staff members and parents relative to test findings and their interpretation;
Attend MET/IEP conferences and making appropriate recommendations;
Comply with all IDEA regulations and Arizona revised Statutes Sections 15-765-767
Provide counseling to students and parents relative to academic, social and other personal problems;
Assist teachers and administrators in maintaining compliance with State and Federal mandates relative to special education.

Essential functions include: driving, sitting, working with and around others, working with interruptions, repetitive motion (hand/wrist, elbow/shoulder), vision acuity (near/far) for computer work, hearing and speech for ordinary conversation, touch/finger dexterity for typing and data entry.
 

Minimum Qualifications

Current, valid psychological license issued by the Board of Psychologist examiners, OR, a current, valid school psychologist certificate issued by the Arizona State Board of Education.

Preferences: Five or more years of experience; strong communication skills, strong writing skills; experience with IEPs; team player.

Must obtain an Arizona's Driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment. Final Job offer is contingent upon a satisfactory 5-year Arizona motor-vehicle report.

This position is safety sensitive.

Note: Individuals in exempt classifications as part time employees may be classified as non-exempt per FLSA law regarding minimum weekly salary requirements.
