Description

Teach What You Love More!  Be a part-time instructor for the Southern Area Division of Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission's Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation. Classes will be located in community centers, public schools and other Prince George's County locations and are offered to patrons of all ages. Work part-time during evenings, days or weekends. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age (age 21 in some cases). The starting salary range is $11.50 - $35.00/hour depending on the position, experience and certifications.
 
Some of the instructional areas available include:

Crafting (Sewing, Crocheting, Scrapbooking, etc.)
Dance (African, Ballet, Line, Hand, etc.)
Enrichment (Language, Tutoring, Computer, STEM)
Fitness (Cross Training, Sports Specific, Boot Camp, Spinning, Personal Trainers, etc.)
Martial Arts (Aikido, Judo, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, etc.)
Mind and Body Classes (Tai Chi, Yoga, Meditation, etc.)
Music (instrumental and voice)
Sports (Basketball, Soccer, T-Ball, Tennis, Tumbling, etc.)
 
 

Minimum Qualifications

College degree in appropriate field together with progressively responsible management supervisory, and administrative experience which is equal to the management and supervision of a major program or facility; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the applicant's ability to direct and be responsible for a major program and/or facility under a minimum amount of supervision.
